ZTE Watch Live with 24-hour heart rate monitoring & IP68 rating released

Chinese manufacturing giant, ZTE, has been quite “cold” ever since the U.S. ban which almost threw the company under the bus. The company has since released a couple of devices but none of them are making the headlines. Although it is not known for smartwatches, the company has released its latest smartwatch in China. The ZTE Watch Live selling points are its water resistance rating, 24-hour heart rate monitoring, and perhaps its 21-day battery life.

According to the company, this smartwatch comes with a 1.3-inch TFT LCD  touch display. This screen has a resolution of 240 x 240 pixels. In terms of dimension, the ZTE Watch Live measures 40.6 x 34.6 x 10.8 mm and weighs 35.7 grams. This smartwatch also comes with a soft silicone gel strap which compliments its overall color.

The ZTE Watch Live comes with features of mainstream smartwatches. For starters, it supports 24-hour heart rate monitoring, SpO2 Blood Oxygen saturation tracker, and sleep tracking. In addition, this device can also record your stress levels and store data on your sleep log. The ZTE Watch Live offers users several watch faces to choose from. Furthermore, the water and dust resistance rating is IP68. This means that it can be used for water sports such as swimming to depths of not more than 50m.

Also, ZTE claims that the battery of this device offers 14 to 21 days of battery life. Unfortunately, the company did not give the exact battery capacity of this watch. To charge this device, ZTE relies on a proprietary magnetic pad.

Like most smartwatches in the market, the new ZTE watch comes with multiple sports mode. There are 12 different sports mode. Of course, we have the like of running, cycling, swimming and much more. This smartwatch also comes with real-time notifications and music control. Other features include sedentary reminders and remote camera shutter functionality.

For connectivity, ZTE Watch Live comes with Bluetooth V4.2 and it shows notifications in real-time. You can get notifications for calls, messages, and more. Furthermore, you can always get your phone with the “Find My Phone” feature on this device.

In terms of pricing, the ZTE Watch Live is currently available for 229 yuan ($35). This is not very expensive relative to its counterparts in the market. This device is currently up for pre-order in China. As of now, there is no information on its global release.
