New renders of the promising flagship Samsung Galaxy S21 have appeared on the web. The whole new line, we recall, will be released very soon – in January, so there is nothing surprising in such an early appearance of such high-quality renders.
These images were shared by insider Kero Kim from South Korea. Hopefully, the closer the informant is to the head office of the company, the more accurate the data he provides.
Overall, the design of the Galaxy S21 has long been familiar, but these images show different color options for the smartphone. And it seems that the Galaxy S21 series will become one of the most colorful Samsung flagships.
Members of the Galaxy S21 family should be the first global smartphones based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 SoC. But, the devices will also continue to use the Exynos SoC – in this case, the Exynos 2100. Significant advancements are also promised on the camera side.
Samsung Galaxy S21 passes by BIS certification
Samsung has pretty much its flagship plans for 2020 with the release of the Z Fold 2, Note 20 series, and Galaxy S20 FE. Now, the company seems to be working hard to ensure the launch of the Galaxy S21 series. While the Korean firm is yet to confirm, rumors have been pointing to a release in January which is earlier than usual. However, the devices are passing through multiple certification departments which gives strength to the rumors pointing to a January release. Recently, the Galaxy S21, Vanilla Edition, passed through the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). The device passed with an SM-G991B model number and basically confirms Samsung’s intentions of bringing its 2021 flagship to India.
Gizchina News of the week
According to rumors, Samsung will bring the Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra keeping the lineup that debuted this year. The vanilla and Plus models are said to come in two distinct variants each. One with the Exynos 2100 and another with the Snapdragon 875 SoC. As usual, the availability will depend on the market. According to a report from AndroidPolice, the handset will feature a 6.2-inch FHD+ LTPS display with a high refresh rate of 120Hz. However, the vanilla model will not bring the Adaptive Refresh Rate feature. On the software front, the handset will run Android 11 OS with OneUI 3.1 running atop.
Samsung Galaxy S21 alleged specifications
Furthermore, the 3C listing revealed that the Samsung Galaxy S21 will come with a 3,880mAh battery. However, this is the rated battery capacity. We believe that the typical capacity will be around 4,000mAh and Samsung, obviously, will use this number for marketing purposes. Moreover, the device is set to come with 25W fast-charging, which is a little bit underwhelming. Well, in 2021 many companies, especially the Chinese ones, are launching mid-range phones with 33W fast-charging. Realme, for instance, gave a step beyond introducing a cost-effective device with 65W fast-charging. It’s a shame that a premium flagship will still come with a standard that isn’t cutting-edge.
The phone will come with a Triple-Camera array on the back, a 12MP primary shooter, a 12MP ultra-wide module, and a 64MP telephoto shooter. Other features include 5G connectivity, Bluetooth 5.1, and NFC. The device will come in Phantom Violet, Phantom Pink, Phantom Gray, and Phantom White colorways. According to rumors, Samsung will bring the prices of its Galaxy S21 series a little below the usual. The company hopes to recover the appeal of its flagships in these hard times of economic recession.
We expect more details about these exciting 2021 flagships to appear in the coming weeks.
