Previously, when we talking about the AirPods Studio, we said that they will reach the $349 price tag but will come in two distinct variants. One will feature premium leather, while the other will come with more breathable material to ensure that the headset properly fits for exercises. It’ll be an advanced audio product with a bunch of sensors to detect when you’re wearing the headphones and adapt the audio channel from left to right when putting them on. They’ll also have ear and headband padding that attaches magnetically for easy swapping.

Unlike AirPods 2’s minor modifications, AirPods 3’s appearance will get more changes and improvements.

Of course, all the aforementioned and assumed changes refer to the old model. But compared to the AirPods Pro, it may not get many modifications. We mean likely two shapes will be closer. Thus, Apple will shorten the stem and introduce an in-ear design with ear tips. This is an unprecedented move. But it’s not a big surprise since Apple really needs to evolve from the old design. The current AirPods design can’t seal your ears perfectly. Apart from the new design, the new hearables will also bring better battery life. Apple is targeting talk times between 3 and 5 hours for each earbud. With the charging case, it will offer between 18 and 24 hours. Unfortunately, ANC will not arrive in the basic AirPods in 2021. For now, Active Noise Cancelling will be a feature exclusive to current and future AirPods Pro.

However, the AirPods 3 will not add active noise reduction, which can maintain a more appropriate price. For experienced users, they can also look forward to further upgrades in sound quality and battery life.

Recently, Kuo Ming-Chi revealed that the AirPods 3 will be postponed to April to June next year.
