Apple Music is the second most used music streaming service with 19% market share and 60 million users. After a long wait Google starts rolling out Apple Music support for its Google Assistant enabled smart speakers and displays. So the users of Google Nest Audio, Nest Hub Max, Nest Mini or any other Google assistant smart speaker or displays will be very happy.

Starting today, Apple Music is rolling out to Google Assistant-enabled devices, like Nest Audio, Nest Hub Max, Nest Mini, and more. Apple Music subscribers can search and play songs (more than 70 million!), albums and playlists—all ad-free—just by using their voice.

How to Play music from Apple Music via Google Assistant (Smart Speakers or Displays)
- You have to link your Apple Music account in the Google Home App.
- In Google Home App, Select Apple Music as your default music streaming service.
- Now you can give the voice commands(like “Hey Google, play New Music daily playlist” or “hey Google,Play music“) to your smart speaker or display .
- Moreover, you can also play songs from your Apple Music library. Just say “Hey Google, play my songs” or “Hey Google, play my library.”
Google in its blog post says that, Apple Music will be rolled out on all the Google Assistant enabled Smart Speakers and displays in the U.S., U.K., France, Germany and Japan today. Other markets will also gets the Apple music support soon.
If you have multiple Google assistant enabled smart speaker or displays, then you can use recently added multi-room control feature to dynamically move your music from one room to another. Moreover, you can even play the music on all the speakers in your home with the command “Hey Google, play music on all my speakers.“. Its important to tell you that earlier this year Apple Music adds Chromecast Support.
