OnePlus has given important steps this year to become a mainstream smartphone maker. Now, the company is more than just a premium smartphone maker and has devices in the mid-range and even budget segments. The OnePlus Nord N100 sits as the cheapest OnePlus smartphone ever. The handset reached Europe after the OnePlus 8T launch. However, it is yet to reach the United States. Despite this, the handset already received a bunch of software updates. Today it is getting the fourth system update. This makes us believe that, nowadays, OnePlus is announcing smartphones before having stable software on them.
The latest firmware update for the OnePlus Nord N100 comes with build number OxygenOS 10.5.4. Just like the previous update that rolled on in the fourth week of November, this update brings a set of bugfixes. The fixes are for the handset not waking up under certain circumstances and certain known issues. The company states that some improvements have been made to the system stability, but it fails to clarify.

As you can see, the changelog is pretty small and rather vague. If you’re an OnePlus Nord N100 owner, you probably are aware of the bugs. Hopefully, the new firmware will solve most of them. Hopefully, in the coming months, OnePlus will find the perfect timing for releasing smartphones and providing stable firmware versions. After all, the challenges will only grow in the coming months as the company is set to introduce more handsets in the next year.

This battery charges via a USB-C port with 18W fast-charging support. The handset runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 chipset with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of Internal Storage.
The phone runs Android 10 with OxygenOS 10 running atop. We assume that it is eligible for an OxygenOS 11 based on the Android 11 update. However, we can’t say when this will happen as the company is yet to disclose its plans for rolling out Android 11 for its mid-range smartphones.
