The biggest mystery regarding the upcoming Huawei Nova 8 flagships is what kind of SoCs will be used in them: MediaTek or Kirin? Various rumors circulated about this, but now we can confidently talk about the use of Kirin SoC in devices. More specifically, the nova 8 runs the Kirin 985, the same SoC used in the nova 7. Considering the huge shortage of the new Huawei SoCs, this decision is not surprising.
We will have two memory configurations (8/128 and 8/256 GB in both cases) and support for 66 W charging. The nova 8 specifications include a curved OLED screen with a frame rate of 90 Hz and a single embedded front camera with a 32-megapixel sensor, as well as a main camera with four sensors, the main resolution is 64 megapixels. The thickness of the smartphone will be 7.64 mm.
Nova 8 Pro received an OLED waterfall screen with a frame rate of 120 Hz and a dual embedded front camera with a 32-megapixel main sensor and a quad camera with a 64-megapixel main sensor.
Recall that the official premiere of nova 8 and nova 9 Pro will take place on December 23 – this has already been officially confirmed. The new devices will go on sale a week after the announcement – on December 30. The prices are already known.
