According to rumors, Samsung is gearing up to launch its Galaxy S21 flagship series early in January 2021. Considering the number of leaks, certifications, and benchmarks popping out this seems to be pretty accurate. For now, all we need is an official confirmation and invite from Samsung. The latest certification which the Galaxy S21 series passed through is Indonesia’s TKDN certification process. The three handsets namely, Galaxy S21, GalaxyS21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra have been listed on the TKDN website. The devices have SM-G991B, SM-G996B, and SM-G998B model numbers, respectively.
Unfortunately, the TKDN certification alone does not provide many details about the handsets. Thanks to a plethora of leaks, we already know what to expect from the upcoming flagships.
According to rumors, Samsung will bring the Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra keeping the lineup that debuted this year. The vanilla and Plus models are said to come in two distinct variants each. One with the Exynos 2100 and another with the Snapdragon 875 SoC. As usual, the availability will depend on the market. According to a report from AndroidPolice, the handset will feature a 6.2-inch FHD+ LTPS display with a high refresh rate of 120Hz. However, the vanilla model will not bring the Adaptive Refresh Rate feature. On the software front, the handset will run Android 11 OS with OneUI 3.1 running atop.

SAMSUNG GALAXY S21 ALLEGED SPECIFICATIONS
The 3C listing revealed that the Samsung Galaxy S21 will come with a 3,880mAh battery. However, this is the rated battery capacity. We believe that the typical capacity will be around 4,000mAh and Samsung, obviously, will use this number for marketing purposes. Moreover, the device is set to come with 25W fast-charging, which is a little bit underwhelming. Well, in 2021 many companies, especially the Chinese ones, are launching mid-range phones with 33W fast-charging. Realme, for instance, gave a step beyond introducing a cost-effective device with 65W fast-charging. It’s a shame that a premium flagship will still come with a standard that isn’t cutting-edge.
The phone will come with a Triple-Camera array on the back, a 12MP primary shooter, a 12MP ultra-wide module, and a 64MP telephoto shooter. Other features include 5G connectivity, Bluetooth 5.1, and NFC. The device will come in Phantom Violet, Phantom Pink, Phantom Gray, and Phantom White colorways. According to rumors, Samsung will bring the prices of its Galaxy S21 series a little below the usual. The company hopes to recover the appeal of its flagships in these hard times of economic recession.
We expect more details about these exciting 2021 flagships to appear in the coming weeks.
