There is now an official confirmation that indeed the Mi 11 series will not come with a charger in the box. In a Weibo post today, Xiaomi announced that the Mi 11 will use a new packaging that is thin and light.
The company further said
“…Mi 11 cancels the in-box charger in response to the call for technology and environmental protection. Today, everyone has a lot of idle chargers. This is not entirely good and a burden on the environment”.
Since Xiaomi is going to cancel the in-box charger, it must have a compensation plan. It could be a technological breakthrough or a marketing plan, the specific content will public next Monday.
Whether there is a charger or not, this smartphone still comes with a lot of exciting features. This device will be the first to use the Snapdragon 888 SoC.
