Huawei Mate 40E Appeared in the Wireless Charging Alliance

Huawei Mate 40E Pro

In October this year, Huawei launched the Mate 40 series. At the press conference, in addition to Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro, Mate 40 Pro+ and Mate 40 RS, Huawei also launched a fifth model – the Mate 30E Pro 5G. However, there is information that Huawei seems to have another Mate 40 series model under development. It should appear in front of everyone under the name the Huawei Mate 40E.

Some sources found a device with model OCE-AN00 in the database of the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) on December 9. At the same time, the images in the warehouse show that the appearance of the machine is not much different from the standard version of Huawei Mate 40.

Gizchina News of the week

This phone is similar to the Mate 40, with a hole-punch curved screen in the upper left corner. There is a red power button and volume rocker on the right side of the phone. There is a circular camera module on the back of the phone, containing three lenses. You can also see the Leica logo and the LED flash. Plus, there is an audio jack and infrared sensor on the top of the machine. The bottom carries a SIM card tray, USB-C interface and speaker hole.

In fact, this year’s Huawei Mate 40 series included this OCE-AN00 model when it entered the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. That time, we have been thinking that this would be the Mate 40 standard version. But the Mate 40 standard version model was finally set as OCE-AN10. However, when the original Mate 40 series was out, everyone forgot about the aforementioned model.

Huawei Mate 40E Features

Anyways, as for now, we know that the alleged Huawei Mate 40E will come with a 6.5-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2376 x 1080. The chip under the hood differs from the one we can find in the Huawei Mate 40 Standard Edition. The machine is equipped with a 2.86GHz chip. It is expected to be the Kirin 990E 5G or Kirin 990 5G chip (but considering the suffix E, the probability of naming the former is higher). And the original Mate 40 came with the HiSilicon Kirin 9000E clocked at 3.13GHz.
