OnePlus‘ remarkable year was closed with the introduction of the OnePlus Nord N10 5G and OnePlus Nord N100. The latter is the company’s first budget-oriented smartphone coming with modest specifications at an affordable price tag. Now, what remains to be seen is whether OnePlus will provide decent software support for this device or not. So far, the company has been rolling constant update patches for this device with bug fixes and system improvements. We’re more concerned about major Android updates, as these Nord phones are eligible for just one Android device. The big problem is that they’ve come with Android 10, so the major update could mean just one update to Android 11. While the device’s future in Android 11 is uncertain, the company is rolling out a new firmware update that will keep it safe.
The new firmware update will come in the form of OxygenOS 10.5.10 for OnePlus Nord N100 units in India, Europe, and the rest of the globe. According to the changelog, the update brings general bug fixes and improves system stability. Further, it bumps the Android security patch to December 2020. This is very good to know, as users will be able to end the year with the most recent security patches provided by Google.

The update also introduces a new OnePlus Store app. From there, you’ll be able to quickly manage your OnePlus account, get easy-to-access support, and discover benefits for OnePlus members and new products from the company. Of course, the OnePlus Store app can be installed if you think that it’s just mere bloatware. Anyway, it’s only available for Indian owners of the Nord N100. You can check more details about the update through the changelog:
