On the Geekbench platform, a previously unknown Vivo smartphone with the model number V2037 has appeared. Judging by the results of benchmark testing, as well as the listing of brief characteristics, it can be understood that we may have a new mid-budget from the company.
Vivo’s new device page on Geekbench has revealed that the smartphone will be powered by MediaTek’s Helio G80 chipset. The name of the processor had to be guessed, because on the page itself its code number is mentioned – MT6769V. The processor is paired with 4GB of RAM and the firmware is based on the latest Android 11.
In the single-core test, the Vivo V2037 scored 1823 points, and in the multi-core test – 5466 points. I must say that the results are very good, considering the positioning of the chip from MediaTek. The Vivo V2037 could be the company’s first Helio G80 smartphone. Until now, this chip has been used by Huawei, Xiaomi, POCO, Realme and Infinix in their mid-range phones. Most likely, this Vivo smartphone will fall into the company’s list of mid-range devices under the letter Y.
At the moment, more information about the new Vivo smartphone cannot be found, however, given the rumors that appear, most likely it will not have to wait long. Still, Vivo suffers from the usual problem of many Chinese manufacturers – the release of so many smartphones in a short period of time.
VIVO Phone Powered By Snapdragon 888 Appeared On GeekBench
Recently, the Snapdragon 888 is on everyone’s lips. As you know, at the 2020 Qualcomm Snapdragon Technology Summit, Qualcomm officially released the new generation of mobile flagship platform.
In 2021, no less than 15 smartphone manufacturers will launch products sporting the Snapdragon 888. The first batch list includes Xiaomi, OnePlus, Sony, VIVO, OPPO, Realme, Meizu, ZTE, Black Shark, Lenovo, Nubia, Asus, Motorola, Sharp and LG.
Unexpectedly, less than one day after the official announcement of the Snapdragon 888, the GeekBench running score of the new VIVO phone powered by the Snapdragon 888 has appeared on the net.
As we can see from the screenshot, the model of the machine is vivo V2056A. It scores 1135 points in the single-core and 3681 points in the multi-core tests.
Let’s compare its running points with the Kirin 9000 (1014/3715). We can see that the single-core score of the Snapdragon 888 is slightly stronger than that of the Kirin 9000. Plus, the multi-core score is weaker than that of the Kirin 9000. Since it is still an engineering machine, the running score will be slightly lower.
In addition, according to the news from a Weibo blogger, the new VIVO phone has the highest score among the currently exposed engineering machines. Also, it comes with OriginOS out of the box. The progress of the VIVO X60 Pro+ and the iQOO7 is relatively fast. They are going to hit the market as soon as next month.
