Global sales of TWS headsets are expected to increase by 83% in 2020, reaching 238 million pairs.
The figure above shows that earphones and bracelet products accounted for 93% of wearable electronic devices in the third quarter of 2020, with earphone products growing the fastest. The research institute said that the current trend of eliminating the 3.5mm headphone jack in smartphones has greatly increased the demand for TWS headsets. This product is currently expected to become a must-have product for everyone.
‘The trend around removing jacks and earphones from devices and boxes is becoming a big driver for TWS segment growth,’ says Counterpoint Research senior analyst Liz Lee. “’t also helps that mobile media consumption continues to grow, making TWS the next must-have accessory.’
