If the Oppo Find series is the most appealing lineup of smartphones for those looking for a high-end Oppo device, the Reno lineup now brings the best mid-range phones offered by the company. Last year, Oppo made the name of the Reno series with the Reno4 lineup. It generated a multitude of devices starting with the Chinese 5G variants to the 4G LTE global versions. In the end of the last year, Oppo updated the Reno 5 series with the appealing Oppo Reno5 Pro 5G. The device got a 4G variant a couple of weeks ago, but this will not prevent the 5G version from escaping China. Today, Oppo officially started the Oppo Reno5 Pro 5G global campaign. The device has been launched in India alongside the Enco X TWS earphones.
Oppo Reno5 Pro 5G specifications
The Oppo Reno5 Pro 5G further affirms the company’s partnership with MediaTek. The handset carries the excellent Dimensity 1000+ chipset that offers stellar performance thanks to the Cortex-A77 cores. This chipset brings 5G capabilities and is the first 5G phone coming from Oppo to the Indian market. The processing power is aided by 8GB of RAM and 128GB of Internal Storage. Unfortunately, this handset follows the philosophy that ditches microSD cards.
The handset packs a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. This panel has a top-left aligned cutout serving as a house for the 32MP selfie snapper. Moving around to the back, the phone packs a Quad-Camera setup. It comprises a 64MP main shooter and an 8MP ultrawide camera. It also brings a 2MP depth and a 2MP macro lens. The handset also comes with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6, Bluetooth 5.1, USB-C 3.1, NFC, but unfortunately lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack. The device draws power from a 4,350mAh battery with support for 65W wired charging. Oppo sells the handset in Astral Blue, Starry Dream, and Star Wish Black. However, only blue and black colorways are making way to India.
Enco X TWS earphones
The company is also bringing the Enco X TWS earphones to India. The hearables come with an 11mm dynamic driver. Each bud has 44mAh, whereas the charging case has a 535mAh battery capacity. The case also supports the Qi Wireless Charging standard. According to Oppo, it can be fully charged in 110 minutes. The Enco is coming in Black and White colorways.
Pricing and Availability
As aforementioned, Indian customers will be able to purchase the Reno5 Pro 5G in Black or Blue colorways. It retails at INR35,990 (~$490). The Enco X costs around INR 9,900 ($135). The devices will be available for sale on January 22 via Flipkart, Oppo’s own e-store. It will also be available across third-party offline and online retailers.
