Now it is making a comeback with the Vivo X60 Pro+, and according to the company, it has been further improved.

The device will go official tomorrow in China, to build the hype, Vivo shared some photo samples to show some of the camera’s prowess. The pictures were captured in challenging situations in a bid to show how powerful the new mechanism is. As aforementioned, the device will introduce the second generation of the gimbal stabilization system that became popular within the Vivo X50 series. According to Weibo’s post, the new device will have the pan-tilt mechanism applied on two cameras.

The Vivo X60 Pro+ coming with a 50MP ISOCELL GN1 camera and ZEISS lens

The new Vivo X60 Pro+ will sport a 50MP ISOCELL GN1 sensor as its main camera. It has a fairly large 1.2 um pixels that are expanded to 2.4 um thanks to the usual 4-in-1 pixel binning. Moreover, the handset once again brings the ZEISS branding. The partnership with the lens maker has been one of the biggest marketing appeals used by Vivo when it introduced the Vivo X60 series. As expected, the company will keep this appeal with the higher offering. Interestingly, the new variant lenses use ZEISS’ T* anti-reflective coating, it comes in handy for photos like the samples listed below.

The other two Vivo X60 devices have Samsung’s Exynos 1080 SoCs. When it comes to the new variant, it will pack Qualcomm’s high-end Snapdragon 888 SoC. This will definitively make this handset the Vivo’s flagship for the first half of 2021. The handset will pack a 48MP ultra-wide camera, a periscope lens (5x magnification and 125 mm). Last but not least, we’ll have a depth sensor. We assume that the second gimbal system will be placed with the periscope camera for better stabilization than typical OIS.

The new flagship will go official tomorrow at an event that is scheduled to start at 12:30 pm UTC. The device will be the third flagship to reach the market with the Snapdragon 888.
