OnePlus has given remarkable steps last year to solidify its presence in the smartphone market. The brand brought three flagship phones and three mid-range devices, two of which came with 5G connectivity. Now, the company is set to improve what it started last year with a set of new competitive devices. Of course, everything will start with a set of new flagships. The brand is preparing the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro for a release in this quarter. There are also rumors pointing to a Lite, cost-effective, variant. For that reason, the leaks are popping out everywhere as the launch comes near.
Back in the last month, a tipster suggested that both the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro will pack 4,500mAh batteries. Now, tipster Max Jambor further solidifies these claims. He also states that the new flagships will come with in-box chargers. It’s sad that nowadays we’re praising companies for including charging bricks, but that is our reality. When Apple removed the charger of its iPhones’ boxes, we knew that it would be just a matter of time until other companies do the same. Even Samsung, which has mocked Apple, followed with its S21 series. At least, OnePlus isn’t following this year. Worth noting, that the charging will be an important upgrade in the new flagship series over the last year’s models. The brand brought 65W charging with its OnePlus 8T, a this will be the standard charging for the 9 series.
Gizchina News of the week
OnePlus 9 series is likely coming with 65W fast wired charging
Despite the rumors pointing to 65W charging, the tipster didn’t affirm how fast the bundled adapters will be. However, the leaked image says that both phones will come with dual-cell batteries. This certainly serves as a confirmation for super fast-charging. After all, the dual-cell technology is the answer for the fast-charging tech. After all, a single battery with 4,500mAh can’t withstand the stress of a 65W fast-charger.
Worth noting that both phones will come with these charging capabilities. For now, we don’t know if this is something that will also be present in the OnePlus 9 Lite variant. Rumors also state that the Pro variant will have up to 45W wireless charging.
