Samsung’s latest Galaxy Chromebook 2 which was announced in CES 2021 is available to pre order in the US. It is the successor of Samsung Galaxy Chromebook that was launched back in 2020.Talking about Galaxy Chromebook 2, the main highlight is its high-end variant is powered by an Intel Core i3 processor.

Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2 comes in two colour options i.e. Fiesta Red and Mercury Grey colours. It is available to pre order on BestBuy and Samsung’s official website. The Galaxy Chromebook 2 with Intel Celeron 5205U processor is available to pre-order at just $549. The high-end variant with Intel Core i3 processor is available to pre-order at $699.99. Moreover, if you pre-order the new Galaxy Chromebook 2 before 28th February 2021, then you will get a $50 credit towards the purchases from BestBuy or Samsung official website.

Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2 Specifications

It features a 13.3-inch full HD QLED panel with touch support. The Galaxy Chromebook 2 comes in two variants, one is powered by an Intel Celeron 5205U CPU, pairs with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. However, the second variant is powered by Intel Core-i3 processor, pairs with 8GB of RAM and 128 GB internal storage. Moreover, the new Chromebook is also has a microSD card to expand the internal storage. It also has dual 5W stereo speakers with Smart AMP sound.

The new Chromebook packs a webcam with support of 760p video and the Chromebook has a backlit keyboard. It also has a 45.5W battery with 13 hours of backup on a single charge. In connectivity options, Galaxy Chromebook 2 packs a two USB Type-C ports, a headphone/ microphone combo jack, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth v5.0.

The Galaxy Chromebook 2 runs on Chrome OS with Play store access. It measures 304.9×203.2×13.9mm and weighs 1.23 kilograms. As we compare the Chromebook 2 with the first-gen Galaxy Chromebook, the new Galaxy Chromebook 2 is thicker then the last year’s variant. Now let’s see how popular it will become.
