Back in the last year, OnePlus revamped its smartphone series by introducing the OnePlus Nord mid-range series. The first OnePlus Nord was released in Europe and India with the Snapdragon 765G and competitive features. Then, in October, the brand unveiled the OnePlus Nord N10 and OnePlus Nord N100. The former is a cheaper 5G smartphone with the Snapdragon 690 5G, the latter is a standard low-end 4G phone. Both devices came with Android 10 straight out of the box, and they’re still no sign of an Android 11 update coming for them. Anyway, the OnePlus Nord N10 is getting a new OxygenOS 10.5.10 update with bug fixes, improvements, and an updated security patches.
Although OnePlus has expanded its smartphone series, its software team does not seems to be growing in the same proportions. Now the company has a lot of devices to take care of, and this is slowing the Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 rollout. At this rate, we don’t know when the mid-range phones will get the new software skin. However, it’s good to see that the brand is keeping it stable with constant software patches.
Today, the OnePlus Nord N10 is getting OxygenOS 10.5.10 update with February 2021 security patch. The update weighs in at 550MB and also brings a bunch of performance improvements. Moreover, it bumps the GMS package to 2020.12 and improves the stability of 5G connectivity. Worth noting that the update is rolling out for Global and European variants. However, since this is a phased software rollout, it may take some time to reach all eligible units.
