Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G passes by FCC certification

Mi 11 Lite

Xiaomi unveiled its first 2021 flagship two months ago in the form of Mi 11. The brand decided to unleash its smartphone shortly after Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, to ensure the first batch of chipsets and also get the crown of the first company to launch a flagship with the new high-end platform. Of course, the vanilla Mi 11 will not be the only flagship coming from Xiaomi this year. We expect the family to grow further in the coming months with a Mi 11 Pro, a Mi 11 Ultra, and an affordable Mi 11 Lite. Apparently, the Mi 11 Lite release is closer than we imagine. The device has passed through Singapore’s IMDA list. From there we learned about the 5G variant existence. Now, this particular variant has been spotted on FCC certification which reveals some of the specs and features.

Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G key specifications

According to the FCC listing, the Xiaomi device with M2101K8G has appeared with 5G NR support. This model number is similar to the M2101K9AG which is, in fact, the 4G LTE version of the Mi 11 Lite. The second unit was spotted on FCC and NBTC before. The new 5G variant will come in 6GB of RAM with 128GB, 8GB of RAM with 128GB, and 8GB of RAM with 256GB variants. Along with this, we expect a 4,150mAh battery with 33W fast-charging and MIUI 12.5 straight out of the box with Android 11. We have to say that the 4,150mAh is a little below Xiaomi’s recent standards. Thankfully, the 33W charging can still fill this battery in a matter of minutes.

For connectivity, the device will bring the already mentioned 5G NR, NFC, 4G LTE| with Carrier Aggregation. It also has Wi-Fi Dual-Band, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, Galileo, BeiDou, GLONASS. Unfortunately, the leaked listing does not bring info about the chipset in question. But previous rumors have it. The Mi 11 Lite will likely debut the unannounced Snapdragon SD7350 chipset that will like to reach the market as Snapdragon 775G. We expect other details to include a high-refresh-rate display, maybe this time it will be of the LCD kind.

Other expected features include a triple-camera array led by a 64MP main, 8MP ultrawide and a 5MP macro sensor. The 4G variants, on the other hand, will have a lesser camera setup.

Mi 11 Lite

The Mi 11 Lite 4G LTE variant is rumored to come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G which is available in just a few devices right now such as the POCO X3 NFC. Other rumors suggest the Snapdragon 720G. Honestly, we prefer the SD732G instead of having another year of Snapdragon 720G. This chipset is slowly becoming the new Snadragpn 625 for some companies. So far a Xiaomi is yet to disclose its plans for the Mi 11 Lite series, but we expect it to appear in the next month.
