Oppo has now added a new smartphone to its popular Reno series under the Reno 5 lineup. We’re talking about the Oppo Reno 5 K 5G smartphone. The Reno 5 lineup already consists of a bunch of devices namely Reno 5, Reno 5 Pro, and Reno 5 Pro+. The all-new and recently added Reno 5 K 5G smartphone has now gone official in the company’s homeland i.e. China. Here is everything you need to know about it.
Oppo launches Reno 5 K 5G smartphone in China: Specs, Features
The all-new Reno 5 K 5G smartphone makes use of a 6.43-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution. The screen also comes with a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the smartphone runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G chipset paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB built-in storage. It is worth noting that the internal storage is not expandable via a microSD slot.
In terms of optics, Oppo Reno 5 K comes with a quad-camera array on the rear having a 64MP primary sensor. The primary lens accompanies an 8MP ultrawide lens, 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth unit. For selfies and video calling, there is a single 32MP selfie shooter housed inside the punch-hole cutout located on the top-left corner.

On the software front, the smartphone runs on ColorOS 11.1 based on the latest Android 11 operating system. All of these get the juice from a 4,300mAh battery inside that can promptly refuel thanks to 60W fast charging support. As the name suggests, the device supports 5G connectivity. Reading all these specifications, you might now be getting confused and that makes sense. The all-new Reno 5 K borrows almost an entirety of its hardware from the original Reno 5. What’s the difference, you ask? chipset. The new addition in the Reno series makes use of a different chipset from the original device.
Oppo Reno 5 K comes in three different color options namely blue, black, and a gradient option. The device will be up for grabs starting from March 6 in China. Sadly, there is no official pricing from the company and we expect to hear that in the coming days.
