OnePlus 9 series, OnePlus Watch might go official next month!

OnePlusn is now working on its next generation of smartphones dubbed the OnePlus 9 series. We’ve been hearing about the lineup for quite some time now and it looks like the official launch is right around the corner. Not only this, the Chinese smartphone maker seems to finally bring its OnePlus Watch to the market. According to the new leak, the official launch might happen somewhere in the month of March.

This report comes courtesy of 91Mobiles. A reliable tipster who goes by the name Ishan Agarwal has now revealed the company’s upcoming launch plans. As per the tipster, OnePlus is planning to bring four products to the market. All the four products will see their unveiling in March and that too at the same launch event. The report further reveals the name of the devices. We’re looking at OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, and OnePlus 9R smartphones.

Apart from the new series of devices, we’re also looking at the OnePlus Watch. It is going to be the company’s first smartwatch. We’ve been hearing about this smart wearable for quite some time now. Well, it looks like this time the launch might finally happen. This makes sense as OnePlus CEO Pete Lau teased early 2021 as the launch timeline for the wearable. To top things off, the wearable has recently emerged in the German patent and trademark office suggesting the launch is inching closer.

For those who’re unaware, the OnePlus 9R is nothing but an OnePlus 9E or 9 Lite that was earlier making rounds on the internet. This means that we already know what to expect from the smartphone as the key hardware has already been leaked.

According to previous leaks and rumors, the OnePlus 9R will arrive with a 6.5-inch Full HD+ display having a refresh rate of 90Hz. Under the hood, the device will run on Snapdragon 690 chipset paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB built-in storage. We’re also looking at a 64MP primary camera sensor. Considering the ongoing trend, we should see the quad-camera module. Powered by a 5,000mAh battery, the device will make use of at least 30W fast charging support.

OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro, on the other hand, will be on the premium flagship segment. This means that we should see the flagship Snapdragon 888 chipset. We might also see a 120Hz refresh rate QHD+ panel and 65W fast charging.
