Samsung has revolutionized its mid-range segment with the Galaxy A and M-series. The company managed to concentrate its efforts under those lines bringing low-end and upper-mid-range phones based on their numbers. The higher the numbers are, the better specifications a Galaxy A or M smartphone has. Back in the last year, the company added one more number to the math, the Galaxy F-series. Now, in 2021, it seems that the company is preparing the return of the Galaxy E series. The support page of this upcoming handset has gone live on Samsung’s Indian website. It suggests an imminent launch in the country.
The support page reveals that the Galaxy E02 has the module number SM-E025F/DS. This particular device received Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification last month. Apart from this, the Galaxy E02 was spotted the Wi-Fi alliance bearing the very same SM-E025F/DS model number. This model name alone confirms that the phone will come with dual SIM functionality.
Gizchina News of the week
The Galaxy E02 is coming soon with Android 10
According to Wi-Fi Alliance, the phone will offer single-band (2.4GHz) support. It will also run Android 10 out of the box. This a bit weird at this point. After all, Android 11 is around for almost half a year. Samsung is one of the leading companies in the Android 11 expansion. So there must be a good reason for the company to put Android 10 in this handset. Perhaps, it runs Android 10 Go edition which basically means that the phone will have basic specifications. The Galaxy E02 may have a price similar to Galaxy M series smartphones. So it can come at around INR 10,000 or even below depending on the specifications.
Unfortunately, we don’t have many details about the Galaxy E02 yet. Its screen size, hardware configuration, and camera details are not known. Anyway, we expect a big than the 6-inch panel, at least 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, and a dual-camera setup. As you can see, we’re expecting the Galaxy E02 to be a low-end smartphone. We expect more details to appear in the upcoming days.
In related news, Samsung unleashed the Galaxy A32 4G model yesterday. It is just one of the first Galaxy A smartphones coming this month. We’re expecting the Galaxy A52 and A72 series to go official next month. After all, these devices have been leaking a lot and more of their specifications are already known. According to the Galaxy A32 microsite, the phone will reach India on March 5th.
