Recently, Samsung showed a real outdoor comparison chart of the Galaxy S21 Ultra smartphone and a full-frame DSLR camera. The chart compares the image quality and image stabilization effect of the ultra-wide-angle lens, wide-angle lens, and telephoto lens.
The first is the field of view comparison of the smartphone camera. On the photo page, click on the small tree icon below to switch the quad-camera. We can see that the 10x telephoto lens has excellent image quality performance, and the color effects of the quad-camera are also consistent.

From this set of comparison photos, we can see that the screen resolution of the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is similar to that of a SLR camera. The dynamic range and color performance benefit from the optimization algorithm inside the phone. The effect is better than that of a full-frame SLR. However, the super wide-angle lens zoomed in to see the details, there will still be some smear marks. Although the picture definition is not as good as the fixed shooting with a tripod, it still retains enough information and details.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra camera scored 121 points in DxoMark, ranking only 17th.
All things considered, the S21U is amazing for a smartphone. No phone will ever beat an actual camera, but it holds up well enough. It's amazing when it isn't compared, passable when it is.
All you have to do is zoom in to see the pixelation from a 12mp camera, also love how the article doesn’t even reference which DSLR its comparing it to. Is this a Samsung vs Canon Rebel? Lol. Let’s do comparison photos against my EOS R5 and see how well it stacks up 😉
