WABetaInfo, a popular source of WhatsApp-related news, has now revealed an important update on the future of this messaging app. Facebook appears to be working on a new beta version 2.21.50 for WhatsApp. According to WABetaInfo, the new beta version no longer works on iOS 9. This means that the company might be planning to drop the support soon. In fact, it might reflect soon in the stable version as well.
The new version of WhatsApp Beta runs only on iPhones running on iOS 10 and above. For those who’re unaware, iPhone 4 and 4S are the devices that are still running on the older iOS 9. To recall, the iOS 9 dates back to the year 2015 when it was first released while the latest update dates back to July 2019.

Apart from dropping the iOS 9 support, WhatsApp Beta 2.21.50 also brings a bunch of new additions to the table. WhatsApp was reportedly working on improved Archived Chats for quite some time now. Well, it looks like we might finally be able to witness it in the upcoming beta version. The new Archived Chats will bring an improved user interface. The Archived Chats will only be visible if you have any chats in your archives. Furthermore, the cell will always be pinned to the top and the notification will remain muted automatically.
Once you will remove the chat from Archives, then all the settings will reverse and you will be able to receive the notifications.
