Realme X9 Pro key specifications revealed by TENAA

Realme revealed its cost-effective Realme X7 5G smartphone series in the last quarter of 2020. Back in the last month, the company introduced those devices in the Indian market. Although they’re relatively new smartphones, it seems that the fastest-growing smartphone brand is already moving on to their next big thing. A couple of days ago, a new Realme smartphone emerged in the TENAA database bearing the RMX3115 model number. The device, in fact, seems to be the Realme X9 Pro which effectively confirms that the Realme X9 series is coming very soon, at least in China. Other markets, probably will get it as Realme GT Neo.

While the handset spotted in TENAA has the usual glass-finish from other Realme smartphones and the usual bold “DARE TO LEAP” logo, another variant dubbed “Concrete Edition” was revealed today by Chinese bloggers WhyLab. The tipster shared a couple of photos showing the matte concrete version of the Realme X9 Pro. This will be a limited edition and we don’t think that it will be available anywhere outside of China.

The limited-edition sports a textured gray back similar to the Realme X2 Pro Concrete designed by Naoto Fukosawa. The display is curved and we also have a triple-camera setup on the back. The bottom is home to a SIM slot, USB-C port, and speaker.

Realme X9 Pro alleged specifications

According to previous speculations, the Realme X9 Pro will be powered by the Dimensity 1200 SoC. This is the highest offering of the MediaTek Dimensity series. It’s has been made on a modern 6nm process and combines cutting-edge Cortex-A78 cores with power-efficient Cortex-A55 cores. This chipset is only overcome by the Snapdragon 888, and maybe the Snapdragon 870. The biggest plus here is that the Dimensity 1200 is cheaper than the Snapdragon offerings, so devices with it will always be priced below Snapdragon counterparts.

Apart from the chipset, the TENAA listing reveals a 6.55-inch display, presumably with FHD+ resolution and high-refresh-rate. We assume that this panel will be of the OLED kind since the Realme X7 Pro has an OLED panel. The phone will draw its powers from a 4,400mAh dual-cell battery. This dual-cell build implies that the 65W fast-charging technology will be present in the package. The overall dimensions of the phone are 159.9 x 73.4 x 7.8mm.

As we’ve said before, the phone will hit certain markets as Realme X9 Pro or Realme GT Neo depending on the market. Unfortunately, only the Chinese market is confirmed to get it right now.
