POCO is all-set to launch new devices. They revealed the launch event date which is March 22 for the global and 30th for the Indian market. POCO has not officially revealed how many devices we will see yet we are anticipating to see 2 new POCO phones. One of them will be the Redmi K40 re-branded POCO F3/POCO F3 Pro. While the other one should be an all-new POCO X3 Pro. The renders of POCO X3 Pro have leaked thanks to Ishan Agarwal. Unfortunately, the renders didn’t amaze me. Well, have a look yourself.
Doesn’t it look like the POCO X3 NFC? Yup, the controversial design of POCO X3 is not going anywhere. Instead, it will be used on the Pro version as well. Many people do not like the camera module of POCO X3 NFC. Plus, the big POCO branding is unattractive too. Unfortunately, these things are still present on the POCO X3 Pro. Anyways, if the phone provides value, then we can digest the design. There is a little information about the upcoming device which we get from the renders.
Gizchina News of the week
1. A new color
The recently launched Redmi Note 10 series introduced a Bronze color option. Which in my opinion is just amazing. Well, the renders suggest this color option will be available on the X3 Pro as-well. It looks lighter than the bronze color of Note 10 Pro but still looks premium. According to the leaks, this color will be named Metal Bronze. While, the other two options are Frost Blue, and Phantom Black.
2. 48MP Quad-camera setup
The camera module looks exactly as on the POCO X3 NFC. But if you zoom in, you will see the branding “48MP AI Super Camera” on top of the camera module. Leaks also suggested that this phone will have a 48MP primary sensor. The thing to notice is that the vanilla POCO X3 NFC has a 64MP primary shooter. Well, we still don’t know which sensor is exactly used on the X3 Pro. But I don’t think it will be a very high-end 48MP sensor. As far as I think, X3 Pro will compromise on camera and of course the design for that powerful Snapdragon 860 processor.
In a nutshell, the design is not the best. But for gamers, this phone should be a treat if it really comes with the Snapdragon 860 chipset. According to the leaks, this phone will start at €269 for the 6/128GB (~$320) variant. While the 8/256GB variant will cost €319 (~$380).
