Many Chinese smartphone makers are already rolling out their respective Android 11 updates. It’s very sad to know that in a couple of months from now we’ll have Android 12, but still, a huge amount of devices isn’t even dreaming with an Android update. Some companies have been doing a good job, while others are struggling. Some like Realme is in the between. The company started its Realme UI 2.0 Android 11-beta program today with the Realme X50 Pro 5G. However, it only covered a small number of devices until now. There are still many Realme smartphones waiting for this update, and this can take the whole year apparently. Today, however, two devices are joining the Early Access program, the Realme C3, and Realme Narzo 10A. It means that users from these devices can rest knowing that Android 11 will become a reality on their devices very soon.
According to the Realme UI 2.0 plan shared by Realme, the company was supposed to start recruiting Early Access testers for Realme C3 and Realme Narzo 10A in March. Following this schedule, the company has opened registrations before the end of this month. For those unaware, the Realme UI Early Access program lets few users experience the latest version of Realme UI available, which in this case has Android 11 running underneath.
Gizchina News of the week
Based on the feedback coming from early adopters, the brand works fast to fix all possible bugs. Once all issues are ironed then it proceeds with a wide rollout for all devices in the stable regular channel. In order to enroll in the new beta, users of the Realme C3 and Realme Narzo 10A must be running on the following builds:
Realme C3 – RMX2027_11.A.59
Realme Narzo 10A – RMX2020_11.A.59
If you meet the above requirements, then you can navigate to Settings > Software Update > Gear Icon > Trial > Submit Details > Apply Now to register. This does not mean, however, that all users will be picked instantly. The selected users, however, will receive the Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0 beta build via OTA.
If these users need to roll back to Android 10, they still can, but this process will wipe the phone’s internal storage. Moreover, if you need to revert to the stable branch, take in mind that will not be able to rejoin the Early Access Initiative.
