One of the main deficiencies of our day is time. It is constantly lacking and the world is accelerating in order to have time to cover a lot. If a couple of years ago it was considered the norm that a smartphone spends several hours on charging, nowadays it is an unaffordable luxury. All this is well understood by manufacturers who have begun to increase the speed of fast charging.
Last year, the BBK group distinguished themselves by presenting fast chargers with a capacity of 120-125 W. They offer great speeds in terms of time to “refuel” the battery. For example, Realme’s 125W fast charging technology can charge a 4000mAh battery up to a third in just three minutes.
But at the moment, not all companies that have introduced ultrafast chargers have released smartphones with their support. According to digital chat station, Oppo, Realme, and OnePlus will be launching their own smartphones 125W Super Fast Charging in the second half of this year.
The technology supports multiple fast-charging protocols including PPS 125W, PD 65W and QX 36W. It will be compatible with VOOC, Dart, Warp, SuperVOOC, SuperVOOC 2.0, SuperDart technologies.

There is no information about which models can be charged in a matter of minutes. But with a high degree of probability, these will be flagship-level devices.
Oppo 125W charger very soon
In the field of fast charging, Chinese companies have succeeded. I especially remember Xiaomi, for a year already teasing its incredible 100 Watt charge. But it seems that due to her sluggishness, the company will not be able to collect all the laurels. One of Xiaomi’s main rivals, Oppo, has set out to outplay and destroy its opponent. The manufacturer plans to introduce a 125 Watt charger very soon!
It’s funny that Oppo already has the fastest charging technology available on the market. The SuperVOOC 2.0 charger boasts 65W of power, and the block is already in the box of multiple Oppo smartphones. However, from the looks of it, Oppo is going to almost double that capacity.
Interestingly, Xiaomi’s charging technology was able to charge a 4000mAh battery in just 17 minutes. What results Oppo can achieve, one can only imagine. But the question remains how Oppo will be able to secure the battery of the device, because Xiaomi did not introduce a new charging standard for a reason – the company admitted that such a solution would very quickly kill the battery of the device.
