Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 With Snapdragon 870 Appeared On The Net

Prior to this, Xiaomi has announced that it would update its tablet line and pack it with unprecedented flagship configuration.

One of the famous Weibo bloggers revealed that the alleged Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 had been connected to the Internet. The internal model is “K81C”. He also said that this tablet comes with a super-fast charging, a super large screen with a high-refresh rate, a super battery and a sm8250 processor.  The code name “sm8250” represents Qualcomm’s latest flagship chip – the Snapdragon 870.

Two Models – One With SND870, Another With Dimensity 1200

The Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 will bring two different configuration models. They will come with the Snapdragon 870 and the Dimensity 1200 processors. Among them, the Dimensity 1200 version will sport a smaller screen. The overall configuration will be slightly lower.

So as we understand, the new model connected to the internet is the higher version – the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 Pro. On the front, our protagonist should sport an 11-inch 2K resolution LCD screen. It supports up to 144Hz high refresh rate and 480Hz touch sampling rate. If so, it will bring a more delicate and smooth display effect to large-screen devices.

At the same time, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 Pro will also support a stylus function similar to the iPad Pro. The overall positioning belongs to the high-end market. Thus, this tablet is going to make a tough competition to the top-end models. Say, it will fights against as the iPad and the Huawei Mate Pad Pro.

Special MIUI For Xiaomi Mi Pad 5

In addition, Xiaomi’s internal executives also revealed that the MIUI for Pad system will be developed specifically for tablet products. Similar to the MIX FOLD folding screen smartphone, it will support the handheld PC mode and provide a familiar computer operation interface, including the classic start menu and control panel. It can also open multiple windows at the same time, bringing a richer user experience and getting rid of the title of ‘big screen smartphone’.
