After two long weeks of waiting, TCL finally held its first big event of 2021. The company finally presented some of the TCL 20 series smartphones that have been showcased at CES 2021. The company further affirms its own name in the smartphone segment with a bunch of new devices with competitive specifications and all sorts of screens. However, the big start of the show certainly is the 5G mid-rangers – TCL 20 Pro 5G. Besides it, the company also presented the TCL 20L, 20L Plus, and 20S.
TCL 20 Pro 5G specifications
The TCL 20 Pro 5G is a 5G mid-ranger with some premium aspects. The device features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution. Interestingly, it brings a Pixelworks chip that allows this panel to do convert SDR to HDR videos in real-time. The screen is also fine-tuned and can achieve an average dE2000 of less than 1.0. The chip comes alongside an NXTVISION 2.0 for real-time AIO Visual Enhancement that can improve the picture quality of the displayed content. TCL clearly wants to deliver a consistent high-quality image on this smartphone. That’s a good way to make it different from many other smartphones in this particular segment. The smartphone gains its mid-range prowess from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G. The chipset is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of Internal Storage. It also supports microSD cards.
The handset has a center-aligned punch-hole offering a 32MP snapper with an f/2.45 aperture. Moving around to the back, we have a Quad-Camera array with a main 48MP sensor with OIS and f/1.8 aperture, a 16MP f/2.4 ultrawide snapper with a 123-degree field of view. There is also a 5MP f/2.4 macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor completing the package. One of the most interesting facts is that the back of the handset is plain, and there is no kind of camera protuberance.
