A study by Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP) suggests that buyers of Apple’s new smartphones in the US market overwhelmingly prefer the iPhone 12 family.
The data presented takes into account shipments of new iPhones in the US in the second financial quarter of Apple, which the “apple” empire closed in March.
It is reported that in the total mass of devices sold over a three-month period, four models in the iPhone 12 family accounted for about 61%. The most popular is the iPhone 12, followed by the 12 Pro Max, 12 Pro and 12 mini.
If we consider the sales statistics for individual models, then the leadership here belongs to the iPhone 11 with a share of about 24%. In other words, this smartphone took up almost a quarter of the total supply.
Continuing the theme of individual models; it is worth noting that the worst result was shown by the iPhone 12 mini. It even lost to the iPhone SE and iPhone XR smartphones.
Also, it is also noted that the average price of the iPhone in the US market was $ 847. For comparison: the figure for the previous quarter was $ 873.
Gizchina News of the week
iPhone 12 in purple
Recall that earlier this week, the iPhone 12 was announced in a new color, which the company itself calls purple. The iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 received purple colors; and such smartphones can be ordered on April 23rd and will begin shipping on April 30th.
A number of publications have already burst out with compliments to the Apple designers who managed to bring to life such an “original” color that perfectly emphasizes all the advantages in the design of the iPhone 12. But in fact, the new color is what we have already seen in smartphones of from Samsung earlier. As for the specs, everything has remained unchanged.
Another novelty of the past event was the AirTag search tag. This is a small “pill” worth $ 29, which, when placed in a special case; can be hung on a backpack, suitcase, bag, keys or other things when there is a risk of losing them.
AirTag is based on the Ultra Wideband technology; which is known from the Apple Watch and iPhone, where it is used to exchange data. It will be possible to search for the “lost” item using the “Find My” application; and for this, the iPhone, starting from the 11th generation; and the Apple Watch smartwatch, starting from the sixth generation, are suitable. The search for missing items will be accompanied by directional arrows on the smartphone screen; as well as vibration and sounds.
