Lenovo decided to not keep pushing its name forward as a smartphone brand. Instead, it leaves the hard work for Motorola which already has a huge appeal across the world. The company’s name certainly is associated with another kind of product, especially computers. For a long time, the Chinese company has been a leader in the segment of computers. Lenovo is constantly pushing new laptops for the end-user to keep heat in this particular niche. Today, the brand is introducing brand new Lenovo Xiaoxin notebooks. The Lenovo Xiaoxin Air 14 Plus 2021 Ryzen Edition, and Xiaomi Air 15 Ryzen Edition are now available alongside the Xiaoxin Pro 16 2021.
Lenovo Xiaoxin Air 15 Plus 2021 Ryzen Edition specs
As you may expect, the new Ryzen Editions come with Ryzen CPUs. The Xiaoxin Air 14 Plus 2021 Ryzen Edition takes the lead with some improvements in the display which is bumped up from 1,080 pixels to a higher 2.2K resolution (2,240 x 1,400 pixels). The panel still has a 14-inch diagonal. It also adopts a slim metal body that is about 15.9mm thick and weighs about 1.41kg. The body also packs a classic space gray color scheme.
The panel has a 16:10 aspect ratio with up to 300nits brightness and 100% coverage in the sRGB color gamut. The display also outputs hardware-level low blue light and offers support for DC dimming which reduces eye fatigue.

The laptop comes with an AMD Ryzen R5 5600U chipset that is paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of Internal Storage. The chipset pairs with an NVIDIA GeForce MX450 GDDR6 GPU. As far as interface is concerned, the laptop features a single USB-C port for data transmission, external display, and PD charging. Fortunately, there is a standard HDMI interface and a full-size SD card reader.

The Lenovo Xiaoxin Air 15 Ryzen Edition, on the other hand, comes with a bigger 15.6-inch display with a four-narrow-edge matte anti-glare screen with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. The display also has a 100% sRGB high color gamut and supports DC dimming. In addition, the front-facing snapper is equipped with a physical privacy cover. It is very suitable for privacy-conscious users.
This model also comes with the same “jack-of-all-trades” USB Type-C port. There is a 70Wh battery bringing life to the laptop complete with 65W fast-charging.
The laptop comes in two distinct variants. One model has the Ryzen 7 5700U processor paired with 16GB RAM and 512GB of Solid State Drive. The model costs 4,599 Yuan (~$708). There is also a version with AMD Ryzen 5 5500U SoC paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage. It is slightly cheaper at 4,199 Yuan (~$646).
