Twitter To Allow Creators and Publishers Add Tipping Button Their Profiles

Those who have been blogging or have been subscribed to various blogs know there is a very important feature called tipping. This is a great option either to let others know what a worthy news you have found or to get informed about news and leaks. As there are many Twitter bloggers, the social platform has decided to add a tipping option directly to the Twitter user.

Twitter’s Tip Jar

A few days ago, an app researcher Jane Manchun Wong shared images. They show that Twitter could offer a tipping button right on user profiles.

As you can see in this tweet, Wong also found that Twitter’s tipping feature that should be available for Twitter Spaces is called ‘Tip Jar’.

However, this is not the only evidence. We have also found many other screenshots showing a black tipping button instead of a blue one. As you can see, the company is testing various designs and something identical is apparently testing for its forthcoming Super Follows. The letter will let you charge followers if they want access extra content.

Interestingly, Twitter has not officially announced a tipping feature. This simply means we may not see it ever. Even if it launches, we still have no guarantee whether there would be any restrictions on who could put a tipping button on their profile. We guess it will be available only for those who have a certain number of followers or be verified.

Two Other Twitter Features Added Recently

A couple of months ago, Twitter took wraps of two amazing features. First, Twitter users are now able to charge their followers for extra content. Second, people can create and join groups based around specific interests.

The feature allowing charges is called Super Follows. For Twitter, it is a way to let creators and publishers get paid directly by their fans. The second feature is called Communities. It is identical to Facebook Groups. People can create and join groups around specific interests. This will allow them to see more tweets focused on those topics.
