Galaxy Buds Pro gets new gestures support in a recent update!

Earlier this year, Samsung brought its most powerful Galaxy S series smartphones under the S21 trio. Apart from these three devices, the chaebol also launched its new wireless earbuds dubbed Galaxy Buds Pr0. It’s currently the company’s top-end TWS earbuds. It comes with powerful features such as dual-driver setup, improved noise cancellation, 360-degree audio, compact design, and whatnot.

Samsung has now started rolling out a new firmware update to its top-end TWS earbuds. In the new update, the company has brought a handy new feature to the product.

Galaxy Buds Pro gets a new software update, brings new gestures support!

Samsung has now been seeding a new software update to its Galaxy Buds Pro. The update brings the ‘Double Tap Earbud Edge’ feature to the product. For those who’re unaware, this feature is already available on the cheaper Buds+. Once updated, users can activate the feature by heading over to the Labs section in the Galaxy Wearable app.

With this new feature, you can now use the Touch and Hold gestures for a variety of things such as activating voice assistants, switching between ANC or Ambient Sound modes, or even launching Spotify. Apart from this new feature, the update also improves ANC performance along with the accuracy of the Voice Detect feature.

At the time of writing this, the update is only available in South Korea with the firmware version R190XXU0AUD5. The update weighs just 2MB so you can use mobile data to download it as well. If you reside in the mentioned region and own the pair, then you might have already received the update notification. If that’s not the case, then you might want to see if you’re using the latest version of the Galaxy Buds Pro Plugin app. For this update, you need version 2.0.21042351.

More ANC improvements?

Since the launch of the Galaxy Buds Pro, the wearable has received a bunch of software updates. Many of these updates mention the improvement of ANC performance. In fact, the latest one does as well. Samsung appears to be trying to make the ANC experience better with each update.
