Oppo A95 5G is now official in China. The smartphone falls under the mid-range A-series. The highlight of the smartphone has to be its 5G powerful chipset, AMOLED display, and a bold design. Oppo has been updating the A-series smartphones globally. Recently, we saw the Oppo A54 and Oppo A74 5G being released in many regions around the globe. Now, they have launched another A-series phone. Let’s check out the Oppo A95 5G smartphone below.
Design and color options
First of all, the device resembles the recently launched Oppo A74 5G thanks to its bold design. There is a huge camera cut-out on the rear side. On the front side, there is a punch-hole notch that makes the display look modern. Bottom bezels seem to be more prominent, but considering this is a mid-range device, I won’t complain. There are three beautiful color options for the device including black, silver, and a gradient blue color. Overall, the device looks great.
Specifications
Talking about the specifications, the smartphone features a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels FHD+. Unfortunately, Oppo has not included a higher refresh rate on this phone and it sticks with the substandard 60Hz refresh rate. There is a triple rear camera setup on the rear comprising 48MP Primary, 8MP ultra-wide, and 2MP macro sensor. I wonder when will companies stop giving mediocre macro sensors especially on budget devices and rather invest that extra money on something else. Anyway, the device has a 16MP selfie shooter.
Gizchina News of the week
One of the biggest highlights of this phone is its chipset. It is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC. It is a great 5G chipset that handles day-to-day tasks and gaming as well as provides 5G connectivity. The device comes with up to 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB internal storage. Unfortunately, one of the biggest drawbacks of the phone is its small battery. It has a battery capacity of just 4,310mAh battery. However, it can be fast-charged at 30W. Oppo A95 5G comes with ColorOS 11.1 out of the box.
Pricing & availability
Talking about pricing and variants, the smartphone comes in two models in China. The 8GB/128GB model is priced at 1,999 Yuan (~$308). While, the 8GB/256GB high-end model will set you back for 2,299 Yuan (~$354). Oppo A95 5G will be able available to purchase in the coming days in China. Talking about the global launch of this device, I don’t think it will be released as it resembles Oppo F19 Pro Plus 5G which is already launched in the global market.
