Transsion Holdings is going forward this month in terms of releases. The company’s behind Tecno, Itel and Infinix already had its smartphone brands launching many devices in the past few days. Yesterday, Tecno brought the Tecno Camon 17 to Kenya with entry-level specifications. In the last week, the brand announced the budget Tecno Spark 7P. Now, it’s time for the Tecno Spark 7 Pro to join the gang. The device has competitive specifications and a budget-friendly price.
Tecno Spark 7 Pro specifications
The Tecno Spark 7 Pro packs a 6.6-inch HD+ (1,600 x 720 pixels) resolution, one of the good sides of this screen certainly is the 90Hz refresh rate. Of course, do not expect the contrast and colors of an AMOLED since this is just a standard LCD. The handset features a top-left aligned punch hole that comprises an 8MP selfie snapper. Moving around to the back, we have a unique camera cutout. It has an elongated bump with the Spark logo fitted inside. Just above the logo, we have a triple-camera setup. However, just the first one is truly usable. A primary camera is a 48MP unit, while the other two are an AI camera and depth-sensing module.
Gizchina News of the week
Under the hood, the smartphone brings the Helio G80 chipset to the table. For those unaware, this is a 12nm Octa-Core chipset composed of two ARM Cortex-A75 cores clocked at up to 2GHz plus six power-efficient ARM Cortex-A55 cores clocked at up to 1.8GHz. This chip also comes with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. The smartphone comes in options with 4GB / 64GB, 6GB / 64GB, and 4GB / 128GB. Apparently, there is no room for storage expansion which is really crazy. It’s not common to see budget smartphones lacking microSD cards.
In terms of connectivity the Tecno Spark 7 Pro has dual-band Wi-Fi, 4G, Bluetooth 5, GPS, FM, and USB OTG support. The phone has the usual batch of sensors and a fingerprint scanner on the back. The device has a huge 5,000mAh battery keeping the lights on. Unfortunately, there is no mention of any kind of fast-charging technology. In terms of dimensions, the Tecno Spark 7 Pro measures 164.9×76.2×8.8mm.
The device runs Android 11 straight out of the box and has Tecno HiOS running on top. There are four coloways available – Alps Blue, Magnetic Black, Neon Dream, and Spruce Green. Unfortunately, there is no mention about the price.
