Realme held a launch event today in Pakistan. The Chinese company introduced the Realme 8 series in the market. Apart from that, there were some other products including the Realme gaming accessories and the Buds Q2. The Realme Buds Q2 is the successor of previously launched Realme Buds Q. These are budget-oriented TWS but still manage to get some exciting features. For those unfamiliar, the Realme Buds Q was launched last year. They were known to be one of the best-looking budget TWS in the market. Plus, the sound quality was outstanding as well. Does Buds Q2 follow the footsteps of its predecessor? Let’s check it out below.
Specifications & features
Talking about the specifications, the buds have a 10mm bass boost driver. According to Realme, they have a done a sound enhancement, which they refer to as Bass Boost+. One of the coolest features of the Buds Q2 is its lightweight. Weight is a big factor in choosing earbuds. Hence, Realme took extra care in providing the lowest weight possible. The Realme Buds Q2 has a weight of just 4.1 Grams. The buds support Bluetooth 5.0, with a wireless range of 10+meters. Gaming on wireless earbuds is not ideal, but thanks to the low 88ms latency, it will be a lot better. I am using Realme Buds Q for a long time now. The sound quality and everything is great except for its mic. According to Realme, they have used Environmental Noice Cancellation on the Buds Q2 for better call quality.
Gizchina News of the week
IPX4 dust and water-resistant is also present so you can be assured that a bit of water and dust won’t damage the Buds. Battery life is also improved on the new Buds thanks to fast charging support. The Buds take around 1 hour and 40 minutes to fully charge. While the charging case can take around 2.5 hours. Unfortunately, it still has a Micro-USB port which is not ideal in 2021. Realme claims that the buds can provide 120 Minutes of playback with just 10 minutes of charge.
Design & color options
The new Buds look a lot like its predecessor. However, there are some differences. First of all, the Buds Q2 has a Kaleidoscope Lamination process on the touchpad. Apart from that, the buds and even the case look similar to last year. I really like the case of Buds Q2. It is a compact case and is pebble-shaped. The Buds Q2 comes in Black and Blue color options.
Pricing & availability
The Realme Buds Q2 is now available in Pakistan for Rs.5,999 (~$39). The Buds are also expected to launch in other regions. What are your opinions on the Realme Buds Q2? Let us know in the comments section below!
