Earlier last month. in China, OPPO released two budget 4G smartphones in face of the OPPO A54 and OPPO A74. Later, these handsets landed in other markets, such as India, Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, etc. They even got 5G support. Today, these devices were announced in the European market. And looking at the geography of these models, there is every reason to think OPPO is betting on them and want to make them bestsellers.
New Processor Inside
Interestingly, both models come with a Snapdragon 480 processor, support 5G and use side-mounted fingerprint recognition modules. This is an octa-core chip coming with two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.0GHz. There are also six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. For graphics-intensive tasks, the chipset integrates an Adreno 619 GPU. The chip also features the Snapdragon X51 5G modem, which offers a download speed of up to 2.1 Gbps. This is the cheapest Qualcomm phone ensuring 5G connectivity.

OPPO A54 5G And OPPO A74 5G Features
Apart from this, the OPPO A54 5G and the OPPO A74 5G sport a 6.5-inch FHD+ full-screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz. Unlike the 4G versions, they use an LCD screen. The phone has a 5000mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging (the Indian version supports 33W charging). As for the camera, the main sensor of the rear shooter has a 48MP resolution. It is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth of field and telephoto lens. Thus, we are dealing with a quad-camera that is capable of providing a respectable shooting performance. And we should also keep in mind that these are budget phones. The front selfie snapper has a 16MP resolution, and it uses a design with a hole in the upper left corner.
The size and configuration of the two products are very similar, but the storage solutions are different. The OPPO A54 5G has a 4GB+128GB storage combination, while the OPPO A74 5G has a 6GB+128GB storage combination.
More interestingly, the European versions of the two OPPO phones are not the same as the Chinese versions. The Chinese OPPO A54 phones are equipped with the MediaTek Helio P35 chips. The European version of the A54 5G is priced at $324. The latter converts into about 2098 yuan. The Chinese version (4G) costs 1269 yuan ($196); the A74 5G European version is priced at $360 (2,331 yuan), while in other markets, it costs around $285.
