Huawei P50 and Honor 50 To Adopt Nova 8 Pro-Like Design

Huawei P50

Though Huawei has not withdrawn from the smartphone business, it’s still hard for this company to stay the pace. There are myriads problems that the manufacturer should somehow puzzle out. So Huawei has decided to design only a couple of smartphones in 2021, getting prepared for a big return next year. In this regard, the upcoming Huawei P50 – which should be launched long ago – is a very interesting product that everyone is looking forward. There is still no official information when it will hit the market. But we have heard that this series along the Honor 50 series will get to the market this month or the next.

Previously, we saw the Huawei P50 smartphones using a centered single-hole full-screen + dual-ring rear camera design. Today, a Weibo blogger said that all upcoming flagship phones coming our way from Huawei and Honor will use centered single-hole straight/curved screen + rear small circle matrix design. Thus, Huawei has decided to use the highly recognizable design of the Huawei Nova 8 Pro.

Huawei P50

If believing in the previous leaks and rumors, the Huawei P50 will sport a 6.3-inch flat screen. Its dimensions will be 156.7 x 74 x 8.3 mm (if including the rear camera protrusion, it is 10.6 mm). This simply means the P50’s body will be larger than that of the P40 (P40 body size is 148.9 x 71.06 x 8.5 mm). Also, the Huawei P50 series is expected to adopt a new outsole main camera IMX707, which should reach 1/1.18 inches.

What’s Inside?

The Huawei P50 line models are rumored to come with reserved Kirin 9000 chips. But the Honor Pro+ will sport the Snapdragon 888 flagship chip. But it will also come with a 50MP rear quad-camera. The latter will adopt a upper and lower ring type design.

But the Kirin 9000 is not weaker. We are talking about a full-featured 5G SoC that has the capability to handle multi-tasking operations and provide improved performance. Also, this chip has an octa-core architecture. It has a 3.13 GHz Cortex A77 large core, three medium-size 2.54GHz A77 cores and four small-size 2.05GHz cores. It also integrates a 24 -core Mali-G78 GPU and supports Kirin Gaming+ 3.0 and more. The Pro variant will be powered by the polished version, the Kirin 9000E.
