Samsung decided to bring good specifications, displays, and cameras to the mid-range segment. The company achieved this thanks to the good devices brought under the Galaxy A and M-series. This year, the company is giving an important step by bringing 5G connectivity to its mid-range smartphones. The Galaxy A52 5G and Galaxy A72 5G arrived in March to be some of the company’s best-selling smartphones in 2021. Unfortunately, the availability of these devices is still limited. Some markets like India only got the 4G models, but this will change soon.
The Galaxy A52 4G is available in the Indian market with a starting price of INR 26,499 ($360/€300). Now, the company is gearing up to reveal the variant with fifth-gen network support even though there is still no operating 5G network in the country. Ahead of the official reveal, the smartphone’s support page has gone live on the company’s Indian website. The page does not confirm details about the Galaxy A52 5G, however, it confirms the model designation SM-A526B/DS. The DS indicates the device will come with dual-SIM support.

For now, it’s unclear when the company will officially bring the device to the country. Especially, due to the second wave of COVID-19 in the country that is forcing many companies to hold their launches for a little time. Anyway, the device will cost around INR 5,000 ($70/€55) higher than the non-5G variant. Since the Galaxy A52 5G isn’t a secret anymore, we know exactly what kind of specs we can expect from it.
