Vivo intends to distribute Android operating system and security updates within three years of the launch of the new X-Series smartphones. This policy will affect devices released after July 2021.
Vivo notes that upcoming X-Series smartphones will receive the most advanced electronic components, and therefore can remain relevant for several years. In this light, a three-year software update will help ensure the security of user data, as well as allow the implementation of new functions.
