Over the past few weeks, there have been a couple of speculations regarding the Honor 50 series. These smartphones will be Honor’s “first” independent flagship after its independence from Huawei. The Honor 50 series will be the first because the Honor V40 released in January was already set for release before the sale of Honor. The latest information on the Honor 50 series centers on its processor.
According to popular Weibo leakster, @DCS, the Honor 50 series will use a new Qualcomm chip. This processor is in the Snapdragon 7 series and its codename (or development number) is SM7325. The Snapdragon 7 series platform is a 5G mobile platform officially launched by Qualcomm on September 22, 2020. It aims to provide 5G capabilities for the global market, an excellent HDR gaming experience, and excellent terminals for strong AI performance.
According to Roland Quandt, Snapdragon 775 codename is SM7350-AA while Snapdragon 775G is SM7350-AB. These chips may officially arrive this year. In addition to these two mid-to-high-end platforms, Qualcomm has also prepared an additional chip with codename SM7325. It is a mid-range processor.

Honor 50 series speculations
There are reports that this series will have two to three models. We expect the Honor 50, Honor 50 Pro, and Honor 50 Pro+. If this is the case, then the Honor 50 can be the mid-range device while Honor 50 Pro and Honor 50 Pro+ will be the flagships. According to reports, the Honor 50 Pro+ will use the flagship SD888 SoC. This smartphone will also use a 50MP main camera in a quad rear camera setup. Interestingly, the rear camera module adopts a similar design to the Huawei P50 series. The camera design uses an upper and lower ring structure giving it a binocular-like appearance.
