Here’s when you’ll be able to purchase Sony PS5 in India [Next Restock Date]

Sony PS5

Back in November 2020, Sony unveiled its much-awaited next-gen gaming console dubbed PlayStation 5 in several markets. Initially, PS5 made its way to markets such as the US, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and several others. The Indian market, on the other hand, had to wait a couple of months to get the latest console. Not only this, Sony ended up disappointing fans even further by allocating a very limited number of units.

If you’ve been unable to get your hands on Sony PS5 so far, then there’s good news for you. It looks Sony will restock the inventory once again in the coming months. Here’s everything you need to know about it.

According to a new report by IGN India, Sony is planning to make the console available again quite sooner than you might think. It looks like the next restock is scheduled for the month of June i.e. next month. The report further adds that Sony hasn’t made all the units available due to the ongoing pandemic. For those who’re unaware, Sony brought several PS5 units to the Indian market back in April. Due to the ongoing pandemic situation in the country, the brand decided to delay the sale.

Gizchina News of the week

Well, Sony hosted the second wave of the pre-booking yesterday which, as expected, lasted for about roughly 30 minutes. To make up for the limited sales, Sony is now planning to open up the pre-booking again next month. Just like the second sale, we would also see the Digital Edition of the gaming console. Another possible reason for the early restock is the fact that Sony will bring a new exclusive to the title. Of course, we’re talking about the Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart.

Previously, Sony brought the PS5 consoles to market but without any exclusive titles for gamers to play. Well, the company might be looking to avoid the very same situation this time. At the time of writing this, Sony hasn’t really commented on the report and hasn’t revealed any official information on the same.

Here’s how much the console is going to set you back

As per the second wave of the pre-booking, Sony PS5 console is priced at INR 49,990 ($684). The Digital Edition, on the other hand, is going to cost you INR 39,990 (i.e. $547). It was available on multiple platforms such as Flipkart, Amazon India, ShotAtSC, Games The Shop, Vijay Sales, Croma, and PrepaidGamerCard.
