Not that long ago, iQOO officially announced that it will release the iQOO Neo 5 Vitality Version on May 24. Today, it showcased the appearance and some new features of the machine.
The company says that the iQOO Neo 5 Vitality Version has two new vitality colors: polar night black and ice peak white. The posters show that the phone will inherit the previous family-style design, with a punch-hole full screen design on the front. The selfie shooter is at the upper right corner of the screen. On the opposite side, the phone carries a triple-camera, of which the sensors are arranged vertically.
As for key features, our protagonist will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chip, a UFS 3.1 storage and a PDDR5 memory. So the performance will be close to the highest level. The Snapdragon 870 inherits many features of the Snapdragon 888. But it costs less. So many manufacturers use this chip on their flagship phones to keep the price under control. MediaTek does the same with its Dimensity 1100. The latter yields the Dimensity 1200 in a few areas. But it is capable of providing an flagship-level performance and cost less.

The Original iQOO Neo 5
As for the original model, the iQOO Neo 5 was released in March of this year. Like the one that is on the way, it carries a Snapdragon 870 processor inside and an independent display chip. Also, it boasts of a memory fusion technology, which able to expand part of the storage into running memory. On the front, the iQOO Neo 5 has a 6.62-inch Samsung E3 material OLED screen with a peak brightness of 1300nit, a refresh rate of 120Hz, a touch report rate of 300Hz, and an instantaneous touch sampling rate of 1000Hz. So though there will be many highlights, the screen of this handset is outstanding.
In recent years, the OLED panels have become quite popular. So only few manufacturers are willing to equip their flagship phones with LCD screens. But the dimming mechanism and resolution of LCD are better than OLEDs and cause less damage to human eyes. Therefore, it has won the hearts of many consumers.
The starting price of the original model is 2,499 yuan ($389). The machine is expected to be priced at 2,000 yuan ($311).
