We have been seeing countless leaks suggesting the launch of a Galaxy Tab S7+ Lite. As the name suggests the device would be a toned-down variant with a more attractive price. Now, the device has been revealed in Germany, and turns out that it is actually named Galaxy Tab S7 FE 5G. Samsung seems to be way more confident with the FE (Fan Edition) moniker and we can’t blame them for that. After all, the Galaxy S20 FE has been a notable success for the company since its launch in October last year. The Galaxy Tab S7 FE cuts some corners but offers decent performance and 5G connectivity for users in Germany. We know that it’s just a matter of time until it leaves the country and reaches other countries in Europe.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE specifications
The new Galaxy Tab S7 FE flaunts a 12.4-inch display with a 2,560 x 1,600 resolution. To cut some corners, Samsung is ditching the AMOLED panel in favor of a common LCD. Under the hood, the slate comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 760G processor paired with 4G of RAM and 64GB of Internal Storage. According to reports, we can also expect a variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of Internal Storage soon. Both of them offer support for expansion via the microSD card slot.
In terms of optics, the table has an 8MP autofocus camera in the back and a 5MP front-facing camera that should be enough for video calls. The tablet also counts with three built-in microphones to make sure your voice is clean during calls. Under the hood, we get a massive 10,090 mAh battery with support for 45W fast-charging. Unfortunately, users will need to purchase a charging bring separately. Samsung is going full force with the chargerless packages. According to the Korean firm, the Galaxy Tab S7 FE battery can offer 13 hours of battery life for video playback. You’ll surely want to watch a lot of videos with this massive display.

The tablet also comes with an S Pen that makes justice for the Tab on its name. The low-latency pen features a soft tip and is said to feel like a real pen when writing with it. The software converts handwriting into text in real-time and charges automatically when placed on the magnetic part on the back panel.
As usual, the Tab S7 FE comes with support for Samsung DeX. When the mode is turned on it provides users with a desktop-like environment with a start menu and a taskbar. The company also sells an optional keyboard cover that allows users to transform the Galaxy Tab into a small notebook. While in normal tablet mode, the software provides up to 3 apps split-screen multitask. In case you’re wondering the tablet comes with Android 11-based One UI 3.1 straight out of the box.
Pricing and Availability
The tablet retails at €649 which is pretty expensive when you compare it with the Galaxy Tab S7 that offers the same RAM and twice the storage for about €619. Not to mention the chipset inside the Tab S7 that is more powerful than the Snapdragon 750G. Anyway, the Galaxy Tab S7 FE is available for purchase in Mystic Black and Mystic Silver. More colorways will come in the future.
