Today, Huawei officially announced that it will hold the HarmonyOS and Huawei’s new product launch conference at 20:00 on June 2. According to reports, the company will announce the details of HarmonyOS mobile at this conference. HarmonyOS is already running on several IoT devices, however, it is still in the developer beta testing phase on smartphones. For the first time, Huawei released the start-up video for HarmonyOS. Unfortunately, the start-up video is the Chinese version. Nevertheless, the global version will be the same and just a change in the language.
The write-up on the video reads “Harmony has great ambitions and will do a thousand miles in one fell swoop. Thanks to the great love of “meng”, we live up to expectations”.
Judging from the video released by Huawei, the startup screen of HarmonyOS smartphone version will display the words “HUAWEI” and “HarmonyOS” in turns. HarmonyOS is the English name of Hongmeng operating system. HongmengOS was announced at the Huawei Developer Conference held in August 2019. As of now, we already have smart screens, wearables, and other devices with this operating system.

Other manufacturers will HarmonyOS
In a recent interview with the media, Yang Haisong, vice president of Huawei’s consumer business AI and smart full-scenario business department, said that the Hongmeng system is completely open to all. This year, according to the schedule, a full-stack system of 128MB-4GB devices will be open for developers. “Three mobile phone manufacturers are welcome to use the Hongmeng open-source system and let’s build it together.” However, “who and when the three-party mobile phone will use the Hongmeng system depends entirely on the manufacturer’s own business considerations.”
