Realme Narzo 30 5G goes official in Europe

Realme Narzo 30 5G

Realme has unveiled the Realme Narzo 30 5G in Europe today. Interestingly, this comes as the very first Realme Narzo smartphone to reach the European market. However, it only bears the name as for the most part it is identical to the Realme 8 5G. The major differences are the memory options and the new design on the rear panel.

Realme has been sticking with India when it comes to building its Realme Narzo lineup. These devices have been Chinese exclusives since their very first iterations. Now, apparently, the lineup is ready to sail to international waters. Well, it’s good to see the company bringing more devices to other markets as the best Realme smartphones are still exclusive to China or India.

Realme Narzo 30 5G specifications

For those unaware, the Realme Narzo 30 5G has a 6.5-inch LCD with Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the smartphone comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC with an Octa-Core CPU. For starters, the Dimensity 700 brings two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at up to 2.2GHz plus six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at up to 2.0GHz. The platform also comes with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU ensuring that even demanding games will run with moderate settings.

The smartphone comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of Internal Storage. Of course, as a good mid-range smartphone, the Realme Narzo 30 5G brings a microSD card slot. So you can easily double this amount with a good microSD card. Unfortunately not much can be done to the limited amount of RAM. While 4GB is still good for normal usage, we would prefer 6GB of RAM in a 2021 smartphone.

Realme Narzo 30

In terms of optics, the Narzo 30 5G comes with a triple-camera setup. The main and more useful camera is a 48MP unit. Unfortunately, the other sensors are not really useful with just 2MP resolution. You have a 2MP shooter for macro shots and another one for depth sensing. So, in the end, the Narzo 30 5G will hardly be a viable option for photography enthusiasts. Just like other smartphones with the Dimensity 700, the big purpose here is to bring 5G and decent performance for those who can’t spend much on a smartphone.

Realme

Realme is selling the handset in Racing Blue and Racing Silver colorways. Both of them come with a neat strip complementing the camera setup. Interestingly, this is different from the Supersonic Blue or Supersonic Blue colors available with the Realme 8 5G.

Pricing and Availability

The handset comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of Internal Storage and is available for €219. Deep details about availability are yet to be revealed.
