Now, the company is focusing in the next batch of 2021 smartphones for its mid-range class. OnePlus made its big debut in the mid-range segment with the OnePlus Nord last year and turned the “Nord” into a lineup composed of three smartphones. Now, the first OnePlus Nord is due for an upgrade. According to rumors, OnePlus will launch the sequel, OnePlus Nord, and another smartphone dubbed OnePlus Nord CE 5G next month in India. Now, a new report comes to make these rumors credible.
The company has now announced that it is hosting a special Summer Launch Event. OnePlus India’s official Instagram account confirmed the launch event. The image, unfortunately, does not reveal the exact launch date of the event. The company could host the event on June 10, though. According to tipster Mukul Sharma, there is something interesting in the details of the upcoming event.
The OnePlus Summer launch event is the perfect opportunity for the company to unleash new smartphones. Although the company already has a smartwatch and smart TVs in India, it’s hard to imagine a OnePlus Summer Launch event without smartphone launches. The company took to Instagram to confirm the launch event. As we said before the image isn’t teasing any kind of product, but the link attached to it redirects to an Amazon India microsite. It confirms the availability of the products posts the launch.

OnePlus Nord 2 and OnePlus Nord CE 5G (Ebba)
So far rumors are suggesting the launch of the OnePlus Nord 2 at the event. However, the tipster Mukul Sharma has spotted the mention of a new Nord smartphone launch in the URL. The URL also includes the codename “Ebba”. Previously, we have been associating this name with the OnePlus Nord N20, but turns out that the device will reach the market as OnePlus Nord CE 5G. For now, the exact launch date is unknown, but we’re sure OnePlus will disclose more details in the coming days. The company tends to make these teasers before every launch.
According to rumors, the devices will launch in India between June 10 and June 25. The design renders and key specifications suggest a 6.49-inch punch-hole display, and it should be a common LCD due to the presence of a side-mounted fingerprint scanner that doubles as a power button. The phone will have a triple rear camera setup on the back with a 64MP main snapper leading the show. As far as the OnePlus Nord 2 is concerned, the device may debut with the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 and become OnePlus’ first smartphone with a MediaTek chip.
