Oppo will hold a new product launch conference for Oppo Reno6 at 6 o’clock tonight. While we wait for the official launch of this smartwatch, the company has revealed some information regarding this device. According to Oppo, this smartwatch will use a chip jointly developed by Oppo and Ambiq. The processor on this smartwatch will be Apollo4s chip. Furthermore, the company claims that the Oppo smartwatch comes with “almost no shortcomings”.
In April this year, a number of Oppo devices passed the 3C certification. These devices support 4G networks and their charging rate is 5V 1A or 5V 1.5A. Furthermore, these devices will hit the shelf without power adapters.
From the configuration point of view, the charging rate of the new device is the same as Oppo’s own smartwatch. Oppo Watch 41 mm uses 5V 1A charging while Oppo Watch 46 mm uses 5V 1.5A charging. In addition, Oppo recently submitted a trademark called “Oppo Watch Free” to the European Intellectual Property Office. We expect this device to be Oppo’s first sports smartwatch.
As of now, there is no official information on the price of this upcoming Oppo smartwatch. However, we expect the company to reveal this information at the launch event. From the design outline, it appears that this device will be a premium smartwatch. Thus, we do not expect it to be cheap. However, as a Chinese manufacturer, Oppo will want to keep the price on the low side so as to have a chance in the market.
