Sony may be targeting India as one of its key markets for the PlayStation division. However, the company’s job so far has been far from ideal. At least when it comes to the hardware, PlayStation 5 fans are having a hard time trying to get a unit of the new console. The stocks are filled in a very spaced manner and they don’t last more than a minute. Today, Sony PlayStation 5 pre-order went live again. It was the third time that the PS5 was officially available for pre-order. Much like the other two times, the gaining console went out of stock within seconds. The PS5 was available for purchase via several retailers online. These included popular platforms such as Flipkart, ShopAtSC, Amazon, Croma, Vijay Sales, and etc. The latest pre-order did not include the Digital Edition, just the more expensive version with a disc drive. Unfortunately, those who missed the opportunity will have to wait a little more time.
PS5 units sold out within a couple of minutes
The console flew off the shelves within minutes after the pre-order went live post 12 pm. As aforementioned, the console was available through various websites. However, none of them managed to keep the stocks for a long time. In just a few minutes the console was sold out in most of these platforms. Some of them gone sold out in just a few seconds. As usual, there was no official word on the stock quantity. It is currently unknown when will Sony restore the PS5 stocks for the next pre-order, if there is any. However, with Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart launch just around the corner we wouldn’t be surprised to see something going on in June.
If you are among the lucky owners of a new PS5 unit in India, the units pre-ordered today will be delivered around June 7. The delivery date could get pushed further depending on the lockdown situation. Due to the COVID-19 and the new variant of the virus, several states in India have announced lockdown-like restrictions. It only permits the delivery of essential items via e-commerce websites.
