Microsoft is updating its portfolio of Surface Laptops in India with the newly released Surface Laptop 4. The new notebooks are reaching the country in two screen options such as 13.5-inch and 15-inch. Both models offer support for a 3:2 aspect ratio. Moreover, they come in variants with 11th generation Intel Core i5 / i7 processors or AMD Ryzen 5 / Ryzen 7, so it will be a matter of preference and price that you’re willing to pay.
Surface Laptop 4 specs and features
The Surface Laptop 4 offers a 3:2 PixelSense touchscreen display. It offers up to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of SSD storage. The notebook runs on Windows 10 which is hardly a surprise. Moreover, it comes with support for Windows Hello face recognition. The notebook sports a decent keyboard, flanked with a large-sized trackpad that offers support for gestures.
According to Microsoft, the Intel Variant will offer up to 17 hours of battery life. The AMD variant can last even more up to 19 hours, we assume it has to do with the fabrication process or power-efficiency of each processor. Other features include an HD front-facing camera, Omnisonic speaker with Dolby Atmos support, a studio microphone array, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, USB-A, USB-C, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Gizchina News of the week
The variant with Ryzen 5 or Ryzen 7 CPUs will be backed by the Radeon Graphics, while the Intel versions come with the integrated GPUs. According to Microsoft, both variants will still offer 70 percent better performance and battery life than the Surface Laptop. The pricing will depend on the processor and the laptop size you pick. That said, most of the features are similar on both laptops. Of course, the 13.5-inch is a better option for productivity and portability. However, the 15-inch unit will be the best option for those who need multitasking.
